Organic photovoltaics aims at developing a new generation of solar cells that can be produced at low cost using organic semiconductors processed at low temperature at nearly ambient conditions.
The ease of processing of organic photovoltaic devices and the resulting low energy needs during their manufacturing will drastically reduce the energy pay-back time (EPBT) of this technology.
